Hai
This is a different receipe with tamarind and lemon juice.
But most of the peole who r my friends felt instead of tamarind u can use yogurt which is healthy.
But I personally feel instead of adding salt u can use black salt which is pretty healthy.
add cumin powder add cumin powder, shaijeera powder and somf powder which is good for digestion.
These suggestions r just an add on.
Hi Neela,
Yes, I do make Raita (cucumber salad with yogurt). I felt this dish is somewhat different than the usual raita. Try this sometime…and I am sure you will like it.
Thanks for the shahjeera & somf powder tip. I never used them(I use only cumin powder).
Hi
I found that salt is in the ingredient but not used.
Actually I want to know whether salt has to be applied to cucumber and kept for sometime and then remove the salt by squeezing the cucumber.Let me know.
Sometimes the cucumber tastes bitter what should be done.
Celina, I have updated the post. Check in advance if cucumber is bitter, because if it is bitter the entire dish becomes bitter.
Can you pls post toushe sasam recipe? My mom used to make it with some ground coconut with grated coconut. It used be like salad and not cooked but tasted great.
