Today’s lunch box was chapathi, potato bhaji and pineapple sheera.
I never actually gave any sweets in lunch box before this. So let me see the feedback in the evening :).

Hi Shilpa….The tiffin look yummy. Add a pinch of yellow food colour to the sheera. The sheera will be of the pineapple colour.
Shilpa, pineapple sheera is my favorite ! I remember going for b-day parties in India where they served it. They would spread a thin layer on a plate and cut it into diamond shapes. Everyone got one diamond in their plate. Yum.
Hi Shilpa,
Pineapple sheera! i love it & so does my hubby… infact he does not eat plain sheera! I have tinned pineapple, can i use that to make sheera? I also don’t have colour or essence… can i still dish it up?do let me know!
I do not like to use food color Aruna. Thats the reason I avoided it. But I did add some saffron strands to it, somehow the color did not come. Next time, I will mix the saffron strands in warm milk and then add to the dish.
Bhanap, the diamond shaped sheera looks like a good idea. Will try it next time.
Manasi, I am going to post the pineapple sheera tomorrow. Please have a look. i did not use any food color. If you have saffron strands, you can mix it in warm milk and add to this dish. You can make this without them also. It still tastes great.
