iPhone ready

Aayi’s Recipes is now iPhone ready.

I am not sure how many of readers to this site are actually using iPhone. But this is kind of nice to have my site usable on an iPhone.

What that means is iPhone users will now be able to view Aayi’s Recipes on their iPhone in a very ‘iPhone friendly’ form. All the edges have been nicely shaped and trimmed to suit the gorgeous 3.5 inch screen of iPhone and made to be very easily readable. iPhone users can also comment on the post right from within the post, just like on a Mac or PC. The color scheme has been maintained from it’s original theme.

It was made possible by a wordpress plugin called iwPhone and as my husband is an iPhone user, he installed this plugin and did theming work on it.

If you are an iPhone user, go to Safari, tap on the address bar, enter http://www.aayisrecipes.com and tap ‘Go’. Also bookmark it for future visits.

So cool, Shilpa! If only my carrier had iPhone :).

  • Sig September 27, 2007, 5:44 am

WOW, that is awesome Shilpa… :) I never bought that iPhone… i so wanted to, but the product I’m working on is not compatible with it, so had to go with blackjack again…

Shilpa: Ohh nooo :(. I had told my husband that you would be the only other person who would use this feature (Because you are the only one I knew, had interest in buying that iPhone). He spent a lot of time on getting this working and he was so happy at the end of the day.

You are always ahead of the curve! Way to go!

Please visit me, bring your iPhone, go on a hike and I will watch your iPhone for you since you won’t have a signal in the mountains. I will keep it warm by using it and I will recharge it, too. When you come back from your hike, I will have garam masala chai ready for you, with hot and spicy vegetarian fare – unlike last time. So, when are you coming?

Shilpa: Hahahaha…your bribes are too good to ignore ;). How about you coming to Kansas this time? Since you would have “accidentally” forgotten to bring your roadmap, I will hand over iPhone to you ;)
Last time’s dinner? don’t remind me of it. I can still feel the taste of it. It was too good. That lamb curry..slurp slurp

  • Manjula September 27, 2007, 8:54 pm

Thats cool. One more reason to buy iPhone!!

  • Puspha September 27, 2007, 9:45 pm

Wow!!!! Thumbs up to u, lady. Great job.

  • Manisha September 28, 2007, 1:16 am

Show me the yellow brick road, Dorothy! Kansas, here I come!!

Shilpa: Haha :). Actually you bring the roadmap to Kansas but you would have “forgotten” return roadmap and our printer “accidentally” stops working. How cool would that be to get rid of iPhone ;) ?

  • grihini September 28, 2007, 3:06 pm

Cool! U are always way ahead from the rest!

    Hi Shilpa,

I am a frequent visitor of your website to catch some Konkani delicacies. Was checking out rediff.com and found a post of your website so thought of sharing with you.

    Check this out.

Shilpa: Thanks Arun for letting me know. This made my day :).
