Hi Shilpa

I always make masala peanuts in the microwave. I first wet the raw peanuts then add the besan and masala ingredients and also 1-2 tsps oil to coat all the peanuts. Then arrange them in a plate in a single layer and microwave for 3 min. Then stir and microwave in intervals of 1 min till peanuts are done. They taste absolutely crispy and yummy.

Oh I have just found these and am going to make them. Can you tell me, though, now that Diwali is over, do we all go on a diet for the next month? I must have put on so much weight with the sweets, ghee and fried foods. Tofu for me for the next week.

Hi Shilpa

A Very Happy & Prosperous Diwali to you and your family...

The Talile Shenga look yummy and remind me of my mom's quick solution for hungry ones -"jhatpat shenga" ...

My hubby's favorite too, though have never made them myself..always store bought.

Will try it this evening when I get back home.

Bee

Ajwain sounds wonderful addition..

Can they really be microwaved ? Do they taste the same ?

Has anyone tried baking in regular convc oven ? That would be a healthy option too !!

Anyway, enjoy your Diwali !!!
