Thanks Shilpa.. and yes, my mom also used to make toast sandwiches using the similar stove top aluminium toaster with potato or any sukka bhaji for after-school evening snacks..After coming home every evening, the first question to mom used to be, " What have u prepared for snacks?" :D I remember how me and my sister used to be delighted to have those snacks.. I still think, how mom used to prepare different snacks daily apart from the regular lunch/dinner and other chores.. and we wanted variety for lunch or dinner every day!! Really, Moms r great! They do their best to keep kids happy.. I love when my mom visits too and you are so right - we become kids all over again. I love it when I leave for work and come back home and find that she has made one my favourite dishes. I also make some of the food she cooked for us as children and am always presenting them to her so that she sees that I have learnt well, I had (still have) a great teacher.
