Hi Shilpa,

I'm new to this site and been browsing since yesterday. Got a lot of recipes that I've been looking for, for quite sometime. your site is fantastic and feel very homely when I'm here.
could you pls tell me how to prepare this dish using arrowroot powder. I'd like to try this one. pls help.

Shilpa: Here is how you make arroroot duddalli -
Soak 1 cup arroroot in water. Change water 2-3 times. This is basically done to remove any unwanted particles from the root. Discard all water.
Heat 2 cups of milk with 1 cup sugar. When all sugar is melted, slowly add the arroroot a little at a time till the micture thickens. Keep mixing to avoid any lumps. Add cooked chana dal & cashews if required. Add cardamom powder. Then pour the mixture on a greased(with ghee) plate and cut into pieces. Serve.
